I have to say that having a list made the day a lot smoother. It was ridiculously cold out, instead of going outside I made play dough. School work didn’t happen, a visit with mom took priority. My plan for the boys to colour went out the window. They used the pencil crayons as missiles and shot them over the edge of the table. Snacks were a hit. Playing with a bucket of water in the kitchen kept them happy for nearly an hour. A HUGE triumph was dinner being ready at 5:59pm. I made a lemon caper pork tenderloin, broccoli and long grain rice. I usually ruin rice but by some magic it was good this time. The biggest thing to take away from the experiment is to be flexible and roll with the punches. I will make another list for tomorrow.
